Mercedes G63 AMG Service Cost
Read current VAT-inclusive G63 service ranges and compare the operations, parts and diagnosis included in a written quote.
MercGarage currently estimates a routine G63 service at AED 1,400 to 2,000 including VAT, or an extended visit at AED 2,600 to 4,000 including VAT for the listed scope. These are alternative packages. Your written price depends on the vehicle, due operations, specified parts and any separately diagnosed concern.
Before comparing quotes, give the workshop the vehicle identification number (VIN), model year, current mileage, service message and recent invoices. A G63 badge alone does not identify every engine, gearbox or fitted component, and a service reminder does not automatically mean a repair is needed.
What changes the quote
The 2018 G63 generation changed from the earlier 5.5-liter biturbo V8 to a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 with a nine-speed automatic. Mercedes-Benz documents that change in its G63 introduction. Later model and market changes also matter. A 2025 US model announcement describes 48-volt equipment, but it does not establish the equipment fitted to every UAE car.
The relevant parts and maintenance operations should therefore be checked against the actual vehicle, not inferred from a registration year, body kit or generic online package. Existing warranty or service-plan coverage can also change what an owner needs to pay for now.
Routine and extended service
The current MercGarage G63 service page lists the following workshop estimates. They were checked on 30 September 2026. Both amounts include VAT for the stated package; they are planning ranges rather than fixed invoices.

The extended visit already includes the routine operations. Do not add both package totals for the same visit. Spark plugs, transmission maintenance, worn brake parts and fault repairs are separate unless a vehicle-specific quote explicitly includes them. A scan may record a fault, but it does not by itself prove which component must be replaced.
Check what is actually due
Ask the workshop to compare the service display with the maintenance information for the exact car and its invoices. A filter or brake-fluid operation may be due by time or distance, while another item may already have a documented recent replacement. There is no one fixed list of extra operations that applies to every G63.
The 2020 US G-Class owner’s manual explains how ASSYST PLUS reports remaining time or distance and identifies demanding use that can need additional attention. It is an example for that model year and market, not a universal Dubai interval. Use the applicable schedule and the vehicle’s actual operating conditions.
If records are missing, a first inspection can document visible wear and current warnings. It cannot reveal the date or exact specification of every previously installed fluid. Agree a sensible baseline plan and mark unknown history as unknown.
Keep repairs outside the package
A brake warning, weak start or warm cabin air may need investigation beyond scheduled service. Pad and disc work needs the fitted brake equipment and measured condition. Battery replacement needs the correct battery specification and appropriate tests. Air-conditioning work depends on whether airflow is weak, outlet air is warm, or the refrigerant circuit has a confirmed leak. These are separate questions, and none has a universal G63 replacement price here.
Ask for the first diagnostic scope and approval limit before additional testing or dismantling. If a part is recommended, the estimate should identify the finding, compatible part, labour, associated materials and total including VAT. Check for overlap with operations already included in the service package, such as brake fluid.
If braking is significantly reduced, the vehicle overheats, oil pressure is low, smoke appears, or a warning instructs you to stop, pull over safely and arrange professional help or recovery. Do not continue driving merely to reach a routine appointment.
Compare written estimates
Two quotes are comparable only when they describe the same work for the same vehicle. The label “major service” can hide different filter lists, fluids, parts grades and labour. Before approving one, ask for the following.
- The VIN, mileage, due operations and any service-plan exclusions.
- The oil approval and quantity, filters, fluids, part numbers or named alternatives.
- The inspection and electronic-check scope, with the boundary for paid diagnosis.
- Brake, tyre or other wear measurements when replacement is proposed.
- Separate amounts for due maintenance, measured wear and diagnosed faults.
- A written total including 5% VAT and an approval step before extra work.
At handover, keep the invoice showing work actually completed and any remaining recommendation. The service reminder should be reset for performed maintenance, not used as proof that a separate warning or intermittent fault was repaired.

Does extended service include spark plugs?
Not in the listed package. Check whether plugs are due for the exact engine and quote them separately without repeating included work.
Is a brake-pad replacement part of routine service?
The routine estimate includes brake inspection. Pad or disc replacement needs the fitted equipment and measured condition, with its own axle-specific quote.
Why can the final total exceed the package range?
Separately due operations, measured wear or a diagnosed repair may be added only after their scope, parts, labour and VAT-inclusive total are explained and approved.
