Leaks or uneven running
We handle engine sealing, cooling leaks, ignition faults, and intake problems. Oil beneath the car needs a source check before deciding which gasket to replace.

Start with what you notice
You do not need to identify the failed part before calling. Tell us what changed, when it happens, and whether any warning stays on.
We handle engine sealing, cooling leaks, ignition faults, and intake problems. Oil beneath the car needs a source check before deciding which gasket to replace.
Gearbox, engine mount, suspension, and driveline faults can feel similar. Describe whether the movement happens during a shift, at idle, or over bumps so we can plan the right checks.
Ask about warm AC, a battery that goes flat, slow windows, or cabriolet roof trouble. We check the affected system before recommending a compressor, motor, or control module.
Plan the work
These tentative budgets cover the listed parts and fitting labor. Parts brand, access and related damage affect the total. VAT treatment is not confirmed for the repair ranges below, so request the final VAT-inclusive total before approval. Scheduled-service budgets in the next section include VAT.
For the identified leaking cover. The quote states which bank and seals are included. A damaged cover or separate leak changes the work.
Transmission fluid serviceAED 950–1,350Fluid service budget. The estimate specifies the correct fluid, quantity, filter, seals, and procedure for your transmission.
| Repair | Estimated AED | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Front brake pads and discs | 1,400–1,900 | Front axle set; confirm brand and wear sensor. Caliper repairs are separate. |
| Lower control arm | 750–1,200 | One side. Alignment and other worn joints are itemized if needed. |
| Front shock absorbers | 1,800–2,600 | Front pair; mounts and additional hardware depend on condition. |
| Radiator replacement | 1,600–2,400 | Radiator work; quote lists coolant, seals, and any hose repairs. |
| AC compressor replacement | 2,000–2,800 | Compressor and fitting budget. Refrigerant recharge, contamination cleanup and other components are additional unless included in the written quote. |
| Alternator replacement | 1,400–2,100 | Correct output and fitment. Ask whether the quote uses a new or refurbished unit and compare its warranty; unit condition is not fixed by this range. |

For a timing repair, roof mechanism, or gearbox rebuild, we quote the diagnosed work rather than applying a generic package price.
Maintenance without unnecessary extras
Choose by the service display, maintenance record, age, mileage, and work already completed. A major service does not automatically mean replacing every fluid and part.
Routine visit
Estimated AED 450–650 including VAT
Engine oil and filter replacement with a check of fluid levels, brakes, tires, lights, and visible leaks. We select the oil approval for the vehicle and reset the service reminder after the agreed work.
Best for: keeping up with scheduled maintenance when no additional items are due.
This budget covers oil, the oil filter and the routine checks listed above. Additional filters, plugs, fluid services and fault diagnosis are separate.
Additional due items
Tentative AED 1,500–2,400 including VAT
Routine service plus the filters, spark plugs, brake fluid, or other maintenance actually due. Transmission servicing and fault repairs are priced separately unless explicitly included.
Best for: catching up on documented overdue items or assessing a car with incomplete history.
The budget assumes oil and oil filter, air and cabin filters, spark plugs and brake fluid are due together. We remove items already completed or not due. Repairs and transmission service remain separate.

Engine repairs begin with the affected system and the vehicle’s repair history.
Engine and cooling
A rough idle can come from ignition, air leaks, intake operation, or a mechanical issue. We use fault readings with physical checks to choose the repair, rather than replacing several parts at once.
Trace the leak, inspect nearby seals and covers, then quote the affected area. Cleaning and rechecking help separate an active leak from oil left by earlier work.
We check the engine identification and previous timing repairs, then compare fault readings with the actual timing findings. Sensor or wiring faults and mechanical timing faults can require very different work. The estimate should explain the failed component and why that repair is needed before major disassembly.
Check hoses, reservoir, radiator, pump area, and system pressure. Repeatedly adding coolant can hide a leak. Repairs should include checking operating temperature and circulation.
Transmission and ride quality
A transmission service and a gearbox repair solve different problems. We identify the fitted transmission before choosing fluid or ordering parts.
For due maintenance, service the fluid and filter as applicable. For delayed engagement or limp mode, check fault data, fluid condition, leaks, and electrical control before quoting a component repair.
Internal damage may justify a rebuild or replacement unit. Compare the total fitted price, unit condition, included components, coding needs, and written warranty. See our Mercedes transmission repair options.
The agreed work should include relevant leak and operating checks. Discuss remaining faults, any necessary adaptations and the written warranty. A fluid service cannot guarantee that existing internal wear or control faults will disappear.
Coupe and cabriolet details
Frameless glass should meet the seals correctly. Wind noise, water entry, or a window that catches can involve adjustment, a regulator, or worn sealing. Tell us which side is affected and whether it started after glass or door work.
On the A209 cabriolet, the roof mechanism needs inspection of its operating sequence, switches, power supply, and hydraulics. Avoid forcing it or repeatedly operating a stalled mechanism. Send a photo of the position and any warning before arranging the visit.
For water inside the cabin: report where it first appears. We check the likely entry point and affected electrical areas, rather than assuming the roof fabric needs replacement.
A photo helps us plan the visit. Inspection then separates glass adjustment, seal work, electrical faults and hydraulic repairs. We explain the required work and parts availability before quoting the repair.

For clunks, vibration or uneven braking, we inspect the relevant suspension joints, mounts, pads, discs and calipers. An ABS warning needs electrical fault checks as well as a physical inspection. The repair prices above distinguish one-side work from axle pairs.
A new battery will not fix an electrical drain. Battery condition, charging performance, connections, and current draw need checks. Tell us about accessories or recent electrical work.
Describe the change at idle and road speed. Airflow, condenser fan operation, pressures, and leaks help determine whether the work involves a fan, leak repair, or compressor.

Before your visit
Allow an estimated AED 450–650 including VAT for oil, filter and routine checks. A major service has a tentative AED 1,500–2,400 budget including VAT when oil, filters, spark plugs and brake fluid are due together. Parts choice and the actual due items determine your final quote.
Routine servicing may be completed in one visit when booked and parts are available. We confirm the expected collection time with you. Engine, gearbox and roof faults need assessment before we can give a reliable repair schedule.
A valve cover gasket repair is estimated at AED 850–1,300. A timing cover, oil pan, damaged cover, or more than one leak needs a different quote. We identify the source first.
Only if the cause is something the service can address. Worn internal parts, electrical faults, or control problems need repair. We assess the fault before recommending fluid service as the solution.
Yes. Tell us that it is the A209 cabriolet when booking, especially for roof, window, or water-leak concerns. Roof components and body seals differ from the coupe.
Ask us to separate urgent safety work, due maintenance, and items that can be planned later. Shared labor and parts access can affect whether combining repairs saves money.
The quote states which checks are included. A code scan and extended electrical, timing, or roof diagnosis are different work. Agree on any diagnostic charge before inspection.
Coverage depends on the work and parts supplied. Ask for the duration, covered parts and labor, and exclusions in writing before approving the repair.
