Uneven idle, hesitation or an engine warning can make a C300 tiring to drive and worrying to own. We use STAR diagnostics and relevant physical checks to distinguish a control or ignition problem from a mechanical one. Fault information helps direct testing; it does not automatically identify the part to replace.
For a turbocharged car with reduced response, the assessment can include the relevant air connections, pressure control and engine operation. For a misfire, the work is directed at the identified cylinder or system. We explain the finding and the available repair instead of listing a coil, injector and turbo as one undifferentiated package.
Resolve oil leaks and ventilation faults
An external leak, abnormal crankcase ventilation and oil being used internally are different concerns. Tell us if you have seen smoke, needed repeated top-ups or noticed oil around the engine. We trace the evidence before proposing a cover, seal or ventilation component, and account for any shared access in the labor.
Assess internal work before committing
A timing repair, cylinder-head job and full rebuild involve different levels of work. Where internal damage is suspected, we explain the assessment and the point at which a firmer repair quote becomes possible. A low initial inspection charge should not be mistaken for the cost of the engine repair.
