Choose the brake service

A wear item or a brake-system fault?

A pad warning, vibration and a soft pedal need different checks. Tell us what has changed so the visit can address the actual concern. If stopping performance changes or a red warning tells you to stop, stop safely and arrange recovery.

Pads and discs

Replace confirmed worn parts

Book inspection and replacement for worn brake pads or discs. We check the affected axle and related hardware before pricing. The quotation identifies whether it covers pads alone or pads and discs together, with the applicable wear sensor and fitting. It does not assume every pad change needs new discs.

Fluid and hydraulics

Address pedal or pressure concerns

A soft pedal, visible fluid leak or change in brake response needs assessment before a routine fluid service is recommended. The repair may involve a hose, caliper or another hydraulic component. Brake fluid replacement is maintenance; it is not a repair for a leaking or failed part.

Brake warnings

Diagnose the fitted system

ABS, ESP and SBC-related warnings require appropriate checks of the system fitted to your Mercedes. A warning can concern a sensor, electrical supply, wiring or hydraulic control. We identify the fault before recommending an expensive pump assembly or presenting a reset as the solution.

Totals include the listed parts, labor and 5% VAT and are planning estimates rather than fixed offers. Model, disc size, parts brand and access affect the final price. Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, AMG performance brakes, carbon-ceramic equipment, ABS or SBC units and additional repairs need separate quotations. A standalone assessment is not automatically credited against later work.

Inspection before replacement

Find the cause of noise, wear or vibration

The condition of the removed and fitted components helps explain which repair is needed. We assess the symptom and the relevant axle, including the parts that can affect how new pads and discs operate.

Pad and disc condition

Pad wear is considered alongside the disc surface and thickness. Discs at or below the applicable minimum thickness, or with relevant damage, need attention rather than being treated as suitable simply because the car still stops. We explain the findings and whether the quotation needs pads alone or a combined axle repair.

Calipers, hoses and hardware

Uneven wear can point to a sticking caliper, restricted movement or another issue beyond the friction material. Accessible hoses, connections and related hardware are checked as appropriate. Replacing pads without addressing a confirmed caliper fault can leave the cause of the uneven wear unresolved.

Vibration and braking behavior

A vibration during braking requires checks before choosing a disc repair. Disc condition, mounting surfaces and other relevant components can affect the symptom. Tell us when the vibration occurs and where you feel it. The quotation follows the findings rather than treating every steering-wheel vibration as proof of warped discs.

Pads, discs and fitted parts

Know which axle and components are included

A complete brake quotation describes the supplied parts and the work around them. That makes it easier to compare prices without losing important operations from the job.

A matched axle repair

For brake pad replacement, the quotation covers the matching pad set for the specified axle, plus the applicable sensor and fitting. The matching set covers both wheels on that axle. If both front and rear need work, each axle can be described separately so the total is clear.

Discs with the correct specification

When brake disc replacement is needed, the correct diameter, design and application matter. A pair of new discs and matching pads can be quoted as a complete axle job. Resurfacing is not automatically suitable for a worn or damaged disc and should not bypass its service limits.

Quality and parts choice

The common ranges use new quality replacement friction parts. Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts can be priced when requested and available. We identify the proposed brand and application before ordering. AMG or carbon-ceramic equipment has different requirements and should not be compared directly with the standard iron-disc examples.

Hydraulic work

A fluid service and a leak repair are different jobs

Tell us about any change in pedal feel or visible leak before booking routine maintenance. The cause must be assessed so the quoted work addresses the brake-system condition.

Scheduled fluid replacement

A fluid service uses the appropriate fluid and workshop procedure for the fitted system. It includes the agreed exchange or bleeding operation and relevant checks. The service interval depends on the vehicle’s maintenance requirements. Fresh fluid does not repair a damaged hose, leaking seal or failed hydraulic unit.

Caliper repair or replacement

A repairable caliper may be suitable for new seals and associated work, but the condition of the piston, body and operating mechanism matters. A complete replacement can be necessary when a repair is unsuitable. The installed quote includes the required fluid and bleeding for that work, with related damaged parts identified separately.

Hoses and connected components

A leaking or damaged hydraulic connection needs the correct repair and subsequent system checks. Access and the affected circuit influence the labor. Do not loosen lines, repeatedly pump the pedal or drive the car to test a suspected leak; contact the workshop to discuss assessment and safe arrival.

Electronic brake systems

ABS, ESP, parking brake and SBC enquiries

A brake-system warning does not identify one universal replacement part. We check the relevant system and distinguish ordinary wear from electrical or hydraulic-control faults.

ABS and ESP diagnosis

Fault codes and relevant operating data can guide checks of sensors, wiring, electrical supply and the hydraulic assembly. If findings identify a pump or control-unit concern, ABS pump repair can be assessed and quoted. A stored code is evidence for diagnosis, not automatic proof that the complete unit has failed.

SBC-equipped vehicles

Mercedes fitted with Sensotronic Brake Control need the appropriate system procedure. An SBC pump assessment is a separate specialist enquiry from pads and discs. Resetting a counter or clearing a message does not repair a worn or faulty hydraulic assembly. Tell us the warning and follow the vehicle’s stop instructions.

Electronic parking brake

Rear brake work can require the applicable parking-brake service procedure. A parking-brake warning can also involve a separate actuator, wiring or mechanical fault. The quotation identifies routine rear-pad work and any additional repair distinctly. A parking-brake fault is not automatically resolved by installing new friction parts.

Brake equipment and cost

Your model can have more than one brake specification

The brake system fitted to the vehicle matters more than a model badge alone. We confirm the appropriate parts before placing an order or treating a general estimate as a fitted quotation.

Cars and SUVs

Standard iron-disc systems

The common estimates cover suitable standard brake equipment on Mercedes cars and SUVs. Front and rear parts can differ, and optional equipment can change the disc and pad reference. A clear axle description and vehicle identification help avoid comparing two quotations for different brake sizes.

Performance models

AMG brake equipment

AMG models and some optional performance packages can use larger or different discs, calipers and friction materials. Their parts cost can fall outside the standard ranges. Ask for a model-specific quotation that identifies the fitted equipment, the axle and the chosen replacement parts.

Specialist equipment

Carbon-ceramic and SBC systems

Carbon-ceramic friction components and SBC hydraulic units require their own assessment and pricing. The common iron-disc or caliper examples do not cover these assemblies. We can discuss the enquiry using the vehicle details and confirm the appropriate next step before any specialist component is ordered.

Final checks and handover

Review the completed brake work

The finished job is checked against the repair performed and the original concern. We explain the parts supplied and any initial-use guidance that applies to the fitted friction components.

Illustration of a technician inspecting the front brake on a Mercedes G-Class
Checks around the affected brake assemblyIllustrative service image.

Installation and system checks

Relevant checks follow the agreed work, including disturbed connections, leaks, pedal response and the affected brake functions. Where appropriate and safe, braking operation is assessed. Replacing a sensor or clearing a warning is only part of a job when the underlying condition also needs repair.

New friction parts

New pads and discs need appropriate initial use according to the supplied components and workshop guidance. At collection, ask about that guidance and report any unexpected noise, vibration or change in brake response. Normal bedding-in should not be used to dismiss a significant braking concern.

Plan the appointment

A stocked pad set can lead to a different schedule from hydraulic diagnosis or a specialist component order. We discuss timing once the brake equipment and work are identified. Mention any previous brake repair or recent warning when booking, particularly if the same concern returned after parts were replaced.

Frequently asked questions

Mercedes brake service questions

Fitted prices, repair choices and arranging an assessment.

How much does Mercedes brake repair cost in Dubai?

Front pads and an applicable sensor are estimated at AED 550–1,100 per axle including VAT on standard iron-disc systems. Rear pads are AED 500–1,000, while pads and two discs together are AED 1,400–2,600 per axle. The fitted equipment and confirmed additional work determine the final quote.

Do new brake pads always require new discs?

No. The existing discs need inspection against their condition and applicable service limits. If they remain suitable, pads alone may be appropriate. Worn or damaged discs can require replacement with matching pads. We explain the findings so the quotation reflects the affected axle and required work.

Are the brake prices per wheel or per axle?

The pad and disc ranges on this page are per axle. A pad job covers the matching set for the front or rear axle; the combined disc-and-pad job includes two discs. Caliper repair is priced per caliper. Front and rear axle work together needs a combined quotation.

Will replacing brake fluid fix a soft pedal?

Not necessarily. A soft pedal can accompany air, a leak or another hydraulic concern. The cause needs assessment before choosing the repair. Routine fluid replacement does not fix a failed component. If pedal feel or stopping performance changes, stop safely and arrange assessment rather than driving to test it.

Does an ABS or ESP warning mean the pump has failed?

No. Warnings can involve sensors, wiring, electrical supply or hydraulic-control components. We use relevant diagnosis and inspection before recommending a pump or module. A stored code or warning light alone is not enough to price a complete assembly as the confirmed repair.

Can you quote for AMG or carbon-ceramic brakes?

Contact us with your model and the required work so the fitted equipment can be identified. AMG and carbon-ceramic parts can have very different prices from standard iron-disc brakes. They need an individual quotation specifying the axle, components and installation work.

Can I drive to the workshop with a brake warning?

If stopping performance changes, brake fluid is leaking or a red warning tells you to stop, stop safely and arrange recovery. Follow the vehicle’s instructions. Call MercGarage to discuss the warning and arrival instead of continuing to drive to see whether the message disappears.

What do I need to book a brake service?

Call +971 56 464 6081 or WhatsApp your model and the symptom or known work required. Mention a recent repair or warning if relevant. A model year or vehicle details may be requested to identify the correct parts, but you do not need a technical diagnosis to begin.
