We repair the cause of poor running, from a damaged breather or ignition component to internal engine wear. The E300 badge has been used with different engines across generations and markets. We check the vehicle specification before ordering parts or recommending an engine repair.
A warning light provides a starting point. Live operating data, leak checks and the relevant mechanical tests help establish whether the problem is external or inside the engine. If a misfire follows an ignition component, that is a different repair from low compression in a cylinder. The estimate should reflect that difference.
Repair the existing engine
A localized repair can retain a serviceable engine. Depending on the findings, work may include seals, crankcase ventilation parts, ignition components or a timing assembly. We explain what failed and what needs to be renewed together to avoid paying for the same access work twice.
Compare a rebuild with replacement
For substantial internal damage, compare a rebuild of your engine with a compatible replacement. A rebuild depends on the condition of the block, head and major internal parts. A used unit needs confirmed compatibility, a clear account of its condition and written warranty terms. Purchase price alone does not show the installed cost.
