Know your version
The GLS450 name spans different engine and electrical arrangements. Matching the vehicle matters most when ordering engine, battery, cooling, and suspension parts.
The earlier GLS450 uses a twin-turbo V6 in common specifications. Engine leak repairs, ignition components, charge-air plumbing, and conventional charging-system work must follow that application.
The newer generation uses a turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid assistance. Its 48-volt equipment and integrated starter-generator add electrical checks that do not apply to the earlier V6 in the same way.
Imported vehicles and equipment variations make VIN matching useful when the quotation is prepared. It is not required to make your first inquiry.
Battery condition, power distribution, connections, charging, and communication faults need to be distinguished before a replacement is recommended.
Ride and road behavior
Front and rear airflow deserve separate checks when only part of the cabin feels warm.
Comfort across every row
Tell us which seating area is affected and whether airflow is weak or the air itself is warm. Blower operation, temperature controls, filters, and the refrigerant circuit are different repair possibilities. Adding refrigerant will not correct a failed blower or permanently repair a leak.
Cooling-system pressure, leaks, fan operation, and circulation guide the repair. The engine version changes component access and parts. Repeated coolant top-ups need investigation; never open the reservoir while the system is hot.
