The correct battery. A clear fitted price.
Get your C200’s battery matched to its electrical system, fitted securely, and checked before handover. We test a slow-start or flat-battery complaint first, then explain the replacement and total cost.

Choose the right starting point
Replacing an exhausted battery can restore dependable starting. Replacing a healthy one will not solve a poor connection, charging fault, or electrical drain. Describe what the car does so we can plan the right test.
Stop safely and seek assistance for smoke, a swollen or leaking battery, loss of electrical power, or a stop warning. Avoid repeated jump-start attempts on a damaged battery.
Battery condition and charge are checked alongside the starting circuit and connections. A discharged battery may need controlled charging before its health can be judged.
Tell us how long the car stood and whether a camera, tracker, or other accessory was recently fitted. Repeated discharge may require a separate sleep-current investigation.
Send the complete warning. It may concern another power supply or its control circuit. A new main 12V battery is not an automatic repair for either message.
Know the installed total
Estimated fitted total including 5% VAT. This assumes a compatible battery within the quoted specification range and normal access. Larger-capacity or premium options can cost more.
| Replacement option | Estimated fitted total | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Conventional main 12V battery | AED 880–1,100 | Only where the original specification permits a conventional battery. Not a downgrade for an AGM-equipped car. |
| Matched main AGM battery | AED 1,050–1,260 | Applicable standard-capacity AGM options, with the battery brand and rating named in the quote. |
| Larger-capacity or premium main battery | AED 1,260–1,680 | Where the specified capacity, selected product, or parts source raises the supplied battery cost. |
All displayed fitted totals include standard installation and 5% VAT. Do not add fitting a second time. Auxiliary batteries, support modules, 48V equipment, damaged cables, recovery, and extended drain diagnosis are separate. A standalone initial battery and charging assessment is estimated at AED 150–250 including VAT; confirm whether a separately booked assessment is credited toward repair.
Send the year and symptom first. We can request the VIN or battery-label photo to confirm the part. Ask about available discounts when we prepare the quote.

Four checks before ordering
The model name does not establish one universal battery size. We use vehicle identification and the fitted system together, especially when a previous owner may have installed a different battery.
Confirm AGM, EFB, or conventional specification. Retain the appropriate technology and charging-system compatibility.
Match the required capacity in amp-hours and relevant starting-current rating. A higher number alone is not a better match.
Check dimensions, hold-down, terminal orientation, cable reach, and any required vent connection.
Identify the chassis, production details, equipment, and the particular battery or support unit being replaced.
A clear label photograph helps, but it is not the only check. VARTA’s replacement guidance explains why specified AGM technology should be retained.
Different cars share the C200 badge
These are inspection priorities, not a parts catalog. Body style, production date, market specification, and equipment can change the battery arrangement within a generation.
Do not assume every older C200 uses the same capacity or tray dimensions. Confirm the application before selecting a conventional or other specified battery.
Connection condition and the charging system matter on an older vehicle. Price any required terminal or cable repair separately.
Generation alone does not tell us the start/stop specification. The installed technology, ratings, and vehicle data guide selection.
An inexpensive battery that fits physically may still be unsuitable. Compare like-for-like specifications when reviewing quotes.
Separate a main-battery complaint from an auxiliary or backup-supply fault. Identify the installed support component before quoting its replacement.
Where mild-hybrid equipment is fitted, distinguish the 12V supply from the additional electrical system. One battery price cannot cover both.
On 48V-equipped vehicles, the 12V battery, 48V battery, and conversion equipment have different roles and service requirements.
The main-battery ranges above are not 48V repair prices. Send the warning and vehicle details before arranging a parts order.
Battery management without blanket claims
The required setup depends on the fitted system. Battery registration, initialization, fault checks, and an unrelated control-unit repair are different operations. We identify the procedure for your vehicle instead of selling every replacement as universal ECU coding.
Our fitted estimate includes the applicable normal battery setup. If testing identifies another sensor, wiring, or control fault, we explain and quote that repair separately.
Inactive ECO stop/start alone is not proof of a failed battery or missed coding. Operating conditions and battery charge need to be considered with the diagnostic findings.

Parts choice with a clear specification
A battery warranty does not automatically cover every later no-start. Keep the invoice, part details, warranty duration, and any exclusions so a returning fault can be assessed correctly.

These illustrative quotations show parts, installation, and VAT separately. They are not completed customer jobs or a guarantee that the listed battery type fits your car. Each assumes normal access and no separate electrical fault.
An older C200 with a confirmed compatible conventional-battery application. Replace the main battery and check starting and charging.
A C200 whose vehicle data calls for the quoted AGM unit. Includes normal installation, relevant checks, and any specified setup.
A C200 requiring a more expensive matched main 12V product. The price difference is the supplied unit, not an automatic extra coding charge.
Confirm the battery brand, rating, warranty, and exact included work before approval. Auxiliary units, 48V work, extended testing, and recovery are excluded from these scenarios.
What happens before collection
We follow the vehicle’s isolation and fitting procedure, secure the battery and connections, and check applicable venting. Damaged mounts or terminals are identified before the job is expanded.
The relevant starting or electrical supply behavior is checked after fitting. Remaining warnings are explained. A fault that returns needs investigation rather than repeated clearing.
Once the correct battery and access are confirmed, a straightforward replacement can be arranged within a workshop visit. Charging, intermittent faults, or drain tracing can take longer. Ask about pickup and drop-off and confirm any transport charge.

The useful price is for the correct product with installation, required setup, and tax included. Tell us your C200’s year, whether it starts, and the warning shown. We will discuss the appropriate test or fitted replacement.
Mercedes-trained technicians and STAR diagnostics support the assessment. Ask about available discounts and collection arrangements when booking.
Compatibility and cost questions
Check what is being supplied before accepting a battery-only or fitted quotation.
The year helps narrow the application, but the VIN, equipment, and battery specification establish the final match. Imported vehicles and past modifications can make a year-only lookup unreliable.
Yes. The displayed fitted ranges and illustrative totals include the stated main battery, standard fitting, relevant checks, applicable setup, and 5% VAT. Additional repairs and transport are separate unless your written quote includes them.
Not when AGM is the specified technology. Match the vehicle requirement rather than choosing only by price or case size. An EFB or conventional option is appropriate only when the actual application permits it.
No. The warning can relate to a separate backup supply or its circuit. We identify and test the installed component before quoting. Replacing the main battery without that assessment may leave the warning unchanged.
Not necessarily. A larger capacity does not fix a charging defect or an electrical load that remains active when parked. Capacity changes also require compatibility checks. Repeated discharge should be diagnosed.
Call with the vehicle details, symptoms, and access conditions. We will confirm whether suitable assistance or transport can be arranged, along with availability and charges. A 48V or unresolved electrical fault may require workshop assessment.
Contact the workshop with the invoice and the timing of the failure. Charging performance, connections, battery condition, and parked-current draw may need checking. A jump-start alone does not identify the cause.
The warranty depends on the chosen battery and agreed work. Obtain its duration, covered parts or labor, and claim conditions on the quotation or invoice. We do not apply one unsupported warranty period to every product.
